Job Description
An Embedded Software Engineer job in Tucson, AZ is available courtesy Adecco Engineering & Technical. Proficiency in firmware in a similar role with application design and development via the C programming language is required. Also, you must have familiarity with the Pascal family of languages, e.g. Pascal, Modula-2, and Delphi. Moreover, you must be skilled in debugging embedded and client-side code in a variety of languages, which include C, C#, Delphi, and Modula-2. Furthermore, you must be proficient in design specification, reliability testing, and assessment of system interactions. Some of the roles you will participate in include design concept generation, participating in design reviews, development and testing to assess performance against design specification, and assessment of system interactions.
Responsibilities:
Senior Embedded Software Engineer to expand our current Stainer embedded software team. The embedded software team is part of a larger cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical and systems engineers. The application is a complex real-time medical instrument including robotics/motion control, fluidics, temperature and pneumatic controls. You should be a skilled generalist and an excellent problem-solver. In this role you will be part of a small embedded software team including both developers. Expertise in requirements and design creation is a plus. The team follows the Scrum/agile methodology.

Qualifications:
Excellent C programming skills at the embedded level
Worked in a SCRUM, KANBAN, agile, SDLC, TDD, FDD environments
Documenting software architecture and designs using UML modeling tools such as state diagrams
Disciplined approach to testing and quality assurance
Desire to ship code often and a passion for software excellence
Integrate well with an existing high-functioning software team
Integrate into cross-functional teams to define and drive solutions to problems
Prefer:
Advanced study or training
Minimum 12 years' experience
Able to demonstrate success in technical proficiency, creativity, collaboration, and independent thought
Mandatory implementation of expert design specification practices, reliability testing and assessment of system interactions
Understand/use and mentor other in SW planning processes/practices
Must know coding in variety of languages that include C, C#, Delphi, and Modula-2
Education: Master's degree preferred; Bachelor's degree in a related discipline
