Our 16 Operating handle specialties in cardiac, neuro, stereotactic, total joint replacement and transplants. UAMC is the regional transplant center for heart and lung transplantation. In Addition, UAMC also performs abdominal transplants. The O.R. is staffed 24 hrs 7 days a week. Position Summary: Supervises, coordinates, plans and provides strong clinical expertise and support to the nursing team, and other patient care related staff for designated clinical group(s), staff and physicians. Shares responsibility for quality of care, resource utilization and staff development of all members of the clinical group(s). Collaborates with staff for day to day functions. Functions as liaison between all clinical group customers to the Manager(s) regarding quality of care, resource utilization, and all other issues that may impact the success of the clinical group/department. Required Qualifications: Must be licensed to practice professional nursing in the State of Arizona. BSN and minimum of two years recent Operating Room RN experience in acute care hospital is required. Current UAHN RNs who commit to completion of a BSN degree within two years may be considered. Current UAHN RNs who have one year experience in the specialty area of employment may be considered. Preferred Qualifications: BSN and Certification in appropriate clinical area preferred (CNOR). Clinical expertise in specialty area of employment is preferred. RN with a minimum of four years experience in general, robotics and peds.
