Location Tucson, AZ Salary 130,000 : 150,000 Job Type Direct Hire Date Oct 22, xxxx Overview: The General Manager is a senior management position that carries the responsibility for all of the internal operations including Sales, Engineering, Fabrication, Shipping and receiving.Requisite Experience:Product Knowledge and experience in Industrial Repair and Service is essential.Types of products and services include the mechanical and electrical components of:: Above Ground and Underground mining processes and related equipment: All types of Power Generation processes and related equipment: Manufacturing processes and related equipment: Contract Maintenance Services: Industrial Equipment design, development, installation and maintenance/repair: Fabrication Experience Responsibilities:The General Manager is responsible for setting the direction, goals and operating atmosphere for all Service Representatives and all sales locations. To include: : maintaining and making improvements to the comprehensive sales tracking system: hiring and development of the sales team/Engineering: identifying and cultivating new executive level customer relationships: development and implementation of processes that lead to continuous process improvement in the areas of Win Ratios, Sales Lead Follow:up, Cold Calling, Negotiation and Product Line Knowledge: Discovery and development of new market sectors: assisting in the resolution/organization of sales/production related issues and opportunities: Recommending/approving budgets and/or capital purchases related to the sales team recommending to and participating in the development of the Safety Plan, the Sales Plan and the Business Operating Plan: Establishing standards for policies and performance and other management demands that may exist or arise.Work Location:The majority of the work accomplished by the General Manager will be accomplished in an office/shop environment with significant time spent in developing management processes, tracking market opportunities, managing the sales effort and providing training/mentoring to sales team personnel. However, the General Manager will be required to spend some time away from the home location to assist in the sales effort, develop new markets, visit customers/vendors and resolve customer issues.
