BASF's Mining Solutions business offers a diverse range of mineral processing chemicals and technologies to improve process efficiencies and aid the economic extraction of valuable resources. We offer our products and technology solutions to the global mineral processing industry along with expert advice and technical support. Our product range includes reagents, equipment, process technologies and expertise, focusing on applications such as solid liquid separation, solvent extraction, tailings management, flotation, grinding and materials handling. The Mining Solutions team is driven by a common goal to provide the best sustainable solutions to meet our customers' processing needs. With technical representation in over 100 countries, BASF is able to provide technical support on a global, regional and local basis.
The Account Manager, Northwest USA will work with a customer base interested in technologies related to solid liquid separation (SLS), hydrometallurgy, and other mineral processing solutions. This Account Manager will operate in a territory including Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and the northern parts of Colorado and Nevada and should have the capability to represent, sell and service the entire BASF mining chemicals portfolio.
Formula for Success: You Will be Responsible For...
: You will manage existing customer base in assigned territory. To accomplish this they will establish account plans for each account, defining technical and commercial objectives that meet the customer's needs while balancing BASF's resources. Successfully execute the plans developed in the account plan.
: Growing sales in assigned territory to meet defined objectives. To accomplish this they will develop a thorough understanding of the strategic relevant market (SRM) for BASF Mining Solutions in their territory. With his information they will select targets and develop and execute to plan such that they meet or exceed assigned growth expectations for their territory.
: Collaborating with BASF colleagues both within and outside the business unit (BU). This will be done by working with other BASF colleagues to support growth opportunities for not only the mining, but other BU portfolios within and when requested outside assigned territory.
: Timely, disciplined use of established processes, and adapt to new BASF systems and processes for things such as customer and internal reporting of activities, forecasting, expense management, Human resource issues, marketing information, business improvement work streams, and other initiatives as and when requested.
