Up for sale is a pristine condition Israeli Galil rifle chambered in 5.56x45 / .223 with side folding stock, 2 x 35 round magazines, milled receiver, front and rear dual aperture sight block, speed / vertical charging handle and more - all in pristine like new condition.
WTF is a Galil??? I've been into AK's since the late 80's and have shot and collected all kinds of AK's. I finally got turned onto Galil rifles several years ago after shooting one and being blown away by the accuracy. That's when I learned in-depth about milled vs. stamped receivers and all the improvements the Galil offered over the AK while still employing the majority of the same exact design with the same level of of dependability the AK is known for. If you can tear down an AK rifle, you can tear down a Galil - they're nearly identical with one major exception - the Galil refined and resolved many AK attributes. For instance, the majority of AK's cannot support optics or sights on the dust cover given the typical AK "play" that occurs when they're secured in place. The Galil has tight tolerances that allow the rear sight to sit on the dust cover with ease.
Anyway - enough of my rambling - check it out on Google and do some reading. Sadly, the Galil "secret" is fast spreading so these rifles are going like crazy. Prices on Gunbroker are topping $5K and selling consistently. These rifles are amazing.
