Browning Gold Hunter 3.5" Wood Stock in Tucson, Arizona For Sale

Up for sale is a used Browning Gold Hunter 3.5” 12 guage Semi-auto shotgun. This has the wood stock, with nice deep checking on the pistol grip and forend. It has the speed load function, which automatically loads the third shell into the chamber from the magazine when reloading. Barrel is ribbed, with a white bead, and is marked “GOLD-12ga- Invector Plus 28”” . The 3.5” version of the Gold Hunter can handle 2.75” rounds all the way up to 3.5” rounds. However, I have found that this gun is finicky with some 2.75” rounds, as it will sometimes fail to load the next round. This is a common issue with the 3.5” Gold Hunter. If you use higher velocity 2.75” rounds (i.e. NOT clay/practice rounds), 3” or 3.5” shells it works flawlessly. I’ve noticed that after a good thorough cleaning , it will work for about 25-50 rounds of light 2.75” rounds before it starts to act up. I’ve also tried cleaning and replacing the spring and cleaning the tube in the stock. I was about to polish out the chamber with xxxx steel wool which I think should solve the problem, but I’ll leave that to the next owner, as it may not be necessary, depending on the loads you use.
It is an excellent, soft-shooting gun. I’m only selling it to fund a pistol purchase. Comes with a 4-notch invector plus choke (Improved Cylinder), and a soft-sided gun case (black).
The only trade I’ll consider is a S&W M&P 340, with or without the Crimson Trace grip.
