Weatherby Mark V Fibermark 300 wby in Tucson, Arizona For Sale

This 300 WBY rifle has a 26 inch barrel with muzzle brake/cap and is a Special Edition Grand Slam version - very clean. I added a black Accumark Kevlar B&C Medalist stock that is pillar bedded and the action has been professionally glass bedded to improve upon the rifles accuracy.
This rifle shoot's better than the 1.5" guarantee. With factory loads from Weatherby (165 and 180gr Nosler BT) I could achieve .75" - 1.0" 3 shots groups @ 100 meters all day cooling between sets. I fired a 5 shot group at 500 meters that measured right around 4 inches. The addition of the muzzle brake has made the felt recoil very manageable.
I used the rifle mainly big game hunting on Elk, so the only handload I worked up ran the Barnes 180gr XLC BT bullet (now obsolete). Load ran 5 shot groups at or under half inch at 100 yards. I used once fired factory brass, Federal 215 primers, and a healthy charge of RL-22. Velocity deviation was apparent with handloads until I bought a Lee Factory Crimp Die. Crimp die kept the loads so close in velocity the chrono showed the same xxxx FPS for all 5 shots. COL was 4.04" with the Sinclair Block and a Redding Comp Seating die was used. I have to admit I really didn't try any different combinations; got lucky or was happy enough that it didn't matter.
