Job Description:/h3:
The Solution Integrator and Architect will work with senior classified solution architects, Program Engagement Leads (PEL), Business Partnership Leads (BPL), and Program Services to define business needs, architect new IT services and create example implementations that system administrators to successfully implement new capabilities for their users. The solutions integrator and architect strives to reduce the environment complexity through a consistent use of enterprise and business standards and works to reduce solution costs through the creation, documentation and use of common solution frameworks and components to maximize reuse.
Key activities:
:They are responsible for maintaining an understanding of existing and new technologies as well as ongoing RMS business and GBS IT capabilities in order to leverage this understanding to provide appropriate business solutions.
:They are responsible for developing and documenting best practices in their area of expertise and frequently work implementation teams to ensure a high quality solution is deployed.
:This role requires the documentation of architectures, designs and implementations.
:
Provides oversight and guidance to entry/junior level system
maintainers/administrator
Knowledge/Skills Required:
:The ideal candidate will have 6+ years progressive experience with the design and maintenance of large heterogeneous information systems consisting of Windows, UNIX, Linux, and enterprise storage systems; preferably in support of Aerospace and Defense engineers.
:Must have a current DODI xxxx.1:M IAT Level I certification or must obtain the certification within first 120 days of employment
:Demonstrated competency applying architecture frameworks and business capabilities to support complex initiatives
:Experience integrating both commercial and free and open source (COTS and FOSS) to provide comprehensive solutionsWorking knowledge of security and compliance guidelines: JSIG:RMF, Joint Air Force:Army:Navy (JAFAN), or National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) that drive closed area solution requirements.
:In:depth working experience and knowledge of Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows Server xxxx, Windows Server xxxx including: application installation, Active Directory, Group Policies, and Certificate Services
:Broad experience with all IT infrastructure technologies including: networking technologies, workstations, servers, enterprise storage, application deployment and virtualization
:Experience with automation and scripting on Windows and Linux operating systems
:Experience architecting, designing, developing and deploying IT systems consisting of hardware, operating systems, storage, and backup elements to meet organization and compliance needs.Ability to speak with business partners in their language and to translate their needs into IT architecture requirements.
:Experience assessing the risks, opportunities and business value of engineering automation solutions and quantify them in a way that is measurable and meaningful to the business.
:Knowledge of leading edge technologies and applications with the demonstrated ability to identify and quickly understand and apply those concepts in a practical way
: Ability to successfully work and partner across multiple functions (RMS IT, broader RMS, GBS).
Knowledge/Skills Desired:
:Cisco and Microsoft Certifications (CCENT, CCNA, MCTP, MCSE, Security+, Network+)
:Experience implementing large:scale IT solutions in a multi:platform enterprise
:Working knowledge and experience of enterprise storage technologies
:Working knowledge and experience of data backup technologies, systems, principles, and safeguards
